Hi everyone, and welcome to a brand new year of 2007!
I trust you all have enjoyed your holidays? I know I certainly did! :)
For us, the past week was really great – we had celebrated our very first Christmas and New Year’s Eve with our little daughter, and although Elizabeth isn’t very good at visiting our friends yet, she’s quite happy to see guests visiting us. She simply loved a whole week spent with the two of us, and we were probably the happiest family in the world.
Frankly, Christmas holidays have traditionally been rather controversial for us – although it’s a period of sharing love and bringing smiles to the faces of people you care for, it’s first of all the time of the year you spend with your family. We can never afford to spend Christmas with our parents though, because we usually spend 3 weeks with them during summer and simply have not enough days to visit them later.
Well, this last week had been one of the best we’ve had in five years or so – it really is great to have Elizabeth with us – and just like we knew it would happen, the somewhat sad thoughts of us being the children away from our parents were overwhelmed by the happy thoughts of us being parents too – which means there’s a little princess for us to be here for.
On another note, in just a few weeks time, I’ll be celebrating my first year of blogging here on Personal Development Ideas, but I have already received my Christmas gift: this blog had been accepted into the 9 Rules network which I’m really excited about.
The official part of joining the network is yet to follow, but I’m already a number 99 on the round 5 list of accepted blogs..
Finally, I would like to wish you all once again a very happy New Year! I’ve got a good feeling about 2007, and will do everything in my power to make your visits to this blog even more interesting and useful.
